Is The Phone-Based Hearing Screening Test Really Free?

Yes, it's 100% free. If the results show you may have possible hearing loss, you will hear an option to talk get have a consult done with a licensed hearing professional. That consult is 100% optional, and 100% free. 

How Long Does The Hearing Screening Test Take?

On average it takes about 5 minutes for someone to complete the test. The test will ask you to identify three spoken digits (e.g. "nine", "three") in different levels of background noise. It ask you 10 questions per ear.

Are The Results Accurate?

We based the test off of the medical study Telephone screening tests for functionally impaired hearing: current use in seven countries and development of a US version.  That study was based off earlier work on hearing screening tests performed in the Netherlands. Do I Need A Mobile Phone?

No, you can take the test with a landline phone, mobile phone or VOIP phone.  Any phone will work.

How Fast Do I Get Results?

You get results immediately after completing the test. If you would like to see your screening test results online, you can get a link texted to you, or get a secret code to view your results (if you have a landline).
